Why Is America In Iraq?
Why is America in Iraq? Well, if we do not win in Iraq, the insurgents will look upon it as a victory. With this victory they will bring religious slaughter to Iraq and only the strongest religious party, either Shiite or Sunni, will win.
But that victory will see many Iraqis killed in the process. Somewhere along the way the Kurds will be dragged into the civil war. Thousands will die.
Iraq has one of the largest oil deposits on the earth. If this oil were to fall into the wrong hands, Western civilizations would be paying a high price for their oil. In short, he who owns the oil will rule the world. Now if Iran is able to get control they will have a vast majority of the oil under their control.
There is no guarantee they will not attack Kuwait and take over their oil and then move on to Saudi Arabia. We stay there to protect our way of life. That is why America is in Iraq.
Another reason for the question, why is America in Iraq? is to help the Iraqis obtain freedom. The freedom to serve the God they choose or the freedom not to choose. But given the current political climate, it looks like one is going to have to be a Sunni or a Shiite to survive in Iraq.
One more reason why America is in Iraq is help stop the abuse of women and children. Women and children are treated more like property than a member of society. Women leagues have moved into Iraq to help the women achieve women’s rights.
America is in Iraq to guarantee our freedom and safety in the United States. We will never know how many lives have been saved by those soldiers and civilians who have fought in Iraq.
Why is America in Iraq? We are teaching job skills so the everyday Iraqi can make a living without turning to fighting.
When I was there, my Iraqi workers would tell me they would be happy and content if they had water, electricity and a job paying them $200 a month. With this, they could live well. And they want security. They wanted to be able to live in peace and not fear.
Why is America in Iraq? Let’s just briefly list some good things that have happened:
The Iraqi Symphony, Soccer and Olympic teams are back and bringing some peace, pride and happiness to the Iraqis. More women are working. Some are even patrolling their neighborhoods with authority to search other women for possible explosives or anything else dangerous.
There is more electric being provided. More hospitals are opened. More schools are open. More water and sewer plants are being opened. Some of the seaports have been renovated and supplies are flowing quicker.
There have been fewer attacks on the oil pipelines and so oil is almost to pre-war levels. Soon it will surpass this. Can you imagine how much gas would cost today if the Iraqi oil was not flowing?
They have had an election. True, the polling places had to be guarded like Fort Knox, but they did get to vote. That is why America is in Iraq. To bring democracy to a people who have lived under a cruel dictatorship most of their lives.
More reasons why America is in Iraq. We are in Iraq because we have to deal with Al Sadr. Before a true and lasting peace comes to Iraq, this sorry excuse for a human being has to be dealt with, preferably by stuffing a grenade up his... Well, you know where.
He does not care about the Iraqi people. Look, he runs his Army from Iran. What a chicken. He wants others to suffer so he can have power, but he does not want to face the same suffering.
We need to stay in Iraq until they tell us to leave. The people telling us to leave are those who want to move in and take control and have their own little piece of the rock. They are greedy. The average everyday Iraqi is not ready for the United States to pull out yet.
America needs to stay there and finish the war that it did not start, but was forced into by 9/11.
