War in Afghanistan News

This page talks about the War in Afghanistan News from the view of someone who has been there. I have also reversed a lot of my thinking and decided it is high time to vacate Afghanistan. No more American blood should be spilled on this worthless country.

10-5-2011

The news is reporting that many feel the wars have not been worth the sacrifice in this article: "1 in 3 Vets."

So then why are we still there when the American people clearly do not believe these wars are worth the sacrifice.

Let bring our people home today. All our troops could be out of harms way by Christmas if we started bring them home now.

War in Afghanistan News for 9-13-2011

So the Taliban attacked Kabul today. Good thing, according to the President, that they are almost defeated, otherwise they might have actually done some damage.

It is insane to continue to stay there.

Let's get the hell out of there!

Let's start contacting our politicians and tell them we want our people out of there now and not two or three years from now.

War in Afghanistan News 9-02-2011

Well the news reported that between the two wars there is some 50 billion dollars in fraud, waste and abuse. I can tell you from the things I saw this figure is conservative at most.

This is just what we know of.

And 1 out of 12 American children go to bed hungry at night.

Why do we stay in wars that we need to end?

War in Afghanistan News for 8-10-2011

According to CBS news the Military is reporting that it killed the insurgent who took down the helicopter on Saturday.

Pardon me, but I doubt they can really prove this.

However it is not the guys on the front line who are claiming this, but the General in Charge of Afghanistan General John Allen. He is as lost as to what is happening as Panetta is. Both are full of ??? well you know.

This is a feel good story to try to make American people feel good that we got revenge of some sort. It is to try to convince the American people to continue on.

You can kill 20,000 insurgents but it is not going to relieve the pain and suffering of those who lost loved ones in the attack.

And why was an American Unit pinned down to begin with. There is no reason in hell why they should have been pinned down other than the leaders have no clue as to the strength of the enemy. The enemy has a lot more people than the ISAF is willing to admit too.

And why are our people wearing ISAF patches where the US flag usually sits? The US is answering to the UN. We have to get UN permission to poop in Afghanistan. This is why so many of our guys are getting killed now.

Why did the news not show the reaction of the insurgents to the killings? The insurgents have been rejoicing at the downing. They have been singing praises to Allah for the downing.

Why under President Bush were reporters allowed to take and post pictures of the caskets of those killed in the War, but there were no reporters taking pictures of these Navy Seals' caskets?

We as the American people are being tricked by the Government. The White House Staff and Panetta are trying to hide the cold hard truth, that is we are in a no win situation.

And why were seven low life Afghan soldiers allowed to fly on the same plane as those of honor. There is no honor in any Afghan soldier or police. They are the most vile and corrupt people the US has ever dealt with.

We need to get out of Afghanistan lock, stock and barrel, TODAY!

War in Afghanistan News 7-14-2011

War in Afghanistan news continues with me watching some old movies today about WW2 and the various resistant groups.

Were the Japanese able to eliminate the Filipino resistance? NO.

Did the Germans stop the French resistance fighters? No.

Did the Germans stop the Dutch resistance? No.

Did the Germans stop Italian resistance? No.

As brutal and cruel as they were, the Japanese and Germans were not able to stop the resistance fighters.

Was the British army able to stop the American resistance? No.

Unless the US totally ravages Afghanistan then there is no way to stop the Taliban, Al-Q and other resistance groups.

So with this in mind lets get the hell out of Afghanistan and Iraq today. No more war!!

War in Afghanistan News for 7-9-2011

This just in:

Panetta: Defeat of al-Qaida is 'within reach'

'I think we have them on the run,' new defense secretary says on visit to Afghanistan.

This guys is an idiot. I cannot believe the White House cannot see that to continue fighting in Afghanistan is stupid.

7-05-2011

We learn today that three more soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. Bring our Troops Home Today, Mr. President.

6-30-2011

Three more US soldiers killed in Iraq.

Homeless children crisis in the US grows.

Three ring circus in the White House with both parties and the President pointing fingers at each other.

Most of our budget woes can be solved by just bringing our troops home, now!

Please dear Lord, put some common sense into the hearts of our political leaders. Thank you!

6-28-2011

Suicide bombers attack a hotel in Afghanistan. Taliban take credit.

Didn't the White house just say last week that the Taliban were on the run. We need to give up on the place and bring our people home.

Almost 75 percent of the American people feel the wars have not been worth it.

My question is then: "Why are we still there?"

Why are people protest Wall Street but no one is protesting these wars?

Why were so many protesting the wars when Bush was President but few have since Obama became President?

What is the deal here.

Let's get all of our people out of there Today. We could have many of them home in time for Christmas.

6-23-2011

After listening to the news this morning talk about Afghanistan and the withdraw of American troops, I decided it was time for me to give my opinion.

My opinion is based on working in Iraq for four years and working in Afghanistan for one year.

Let me start War in Afghanistan News by saying that there were Iraqis that I would trust with my life. They were honorable, respectable and really wanted to do the right thing.

On the other hand, there is not one Afghani I would trust with my life. The two peoples are vastly different.

With this in mind I would like to say that the American news media, American military leaders, American politicians, John McCain and the White House are clueless when it comes to the Afgan country.

The comments I have heard and would like to address concerning War in Afghanistan News are:

1. The Afgan security forces are ready to take over.

--The Afghan security forces are not now, nor will they ever be ready to defend their country. They simply lack the courage and leadership that is necessary for them to be able to keep the Taliban, Al-Q or any terrorist group, at bay.

2. The Taliban are weakened and on the run.

--The Taliban may be weekend but they are not on the run. They will recruit, re-arm, re-train and come back. They will never go away. Months after the US pulls out, they will be back in force.

3. We do not want to pull our troops out to quickly.

--It does not matter when or how we pull our troops out, the country will fall back into the opium producing country it was and is as its means to support itself. With this in mind, let's pull our troops out immediately. All of them. Let's not waste anymore American blood on this country. Let's get them all home by Christmas. This can be done.

Below is a picture taken at the dining facility for Easter 2007 at Al Asad Air Base in Iraq.

War in Afghanistan News

4. John McCain knows what he is talking about in War in Afghanistan News.

--I voted for John McCain for president. I do not regret this decision but he is wrong when it comes to Afghanistan. There is nothing more we can accomplish in three more years that we have not already accomplished. The Afghan intellect is that of a child with its hand held out waiting for candy. When it does not get that candy, it throws a fit.

Bring our troops home Today. We are just wasting our time, blood and money on this country. It is corrupt. Its leaders are corrupt. Its people from the lowest to the highest are corrupt.

You cannot build a stable country when its people are so corrupt.

The United States did what it could to help these people. We tried but eventually the Afghan people have to stand for themselves. They will not. They do not have the fortitude or courage to do so.

They have survived for years without the United States and they will continue to survive when we are gone.

War in Afghanistan News continues:

"But David, you do not understand. If we pull out then the terrorist will use the country to train and attack the United States."

I do understand. When I see these terrorist on T.V. and some in real life, they always seem to be well-equipped. They have top of the line weapons, RPGs, clothing, food, transportation and tons of munitions.

Does anyone wonder where does the money come from to provide these things? These people joining a terrorist group are poor, I mean below dirt poor. So they must be getting money from somewhere.

Let's spend resources finding out where this money is coming from. Let's find out who is supplying the weapons. Putting a stop to the money, will cause the arms flow to slow down and this will cause the terrorist more harm than boots-on-the-ground.

Let me reach a bit here on my article on War in Afghanistan News:

Are we beating the terrorist in Afghanistan? Maybe we are kicking ass on the ground but are we really winning?

The terrorist are actually bringing down America by causing us to spend so much money on security defense that we are finding it hard to care for our own people.

Below is a picture of a sunset at Camp Warhorse, Baqubah, Iraq 2004.

War in Afghanistan News

Think I am wrong about War in Afghanistan News.

How much money has been added to the price of a plane ticket in order to fund TSA? I do not know but I bet it adds up over the course of a year.

Speaking of the TSA. Texas was thinking about passing some regulations on what TSA could and could not do with Texas passengers. The White House told Texas if it did, it would stop flights into Texas. Texas bowed.

I am surprised we did. Stop flights into Texas? You have to be kidding me. The airlines would go bankrupt for sure. It might also give Texas the will to succeed from the Union.

Texas joined the Union and was not annexed. It is the only State in the Union that can fly its flag along side the US flag and not under it. So it can pull out anytime it wants. Probably will never happen, though.

June 30th, 2011

Gotta love that TSA--letting a passenger slip through all of its security checks--and then the guy tries it again on his way back to East Coast--

Anyway back to my political views on War in Afghanistan News:

What about the money spent on actual defense to have our troops in these war zones? The news said it takes about a million dollars a year to keep on troop in Afghanistan. Do you know that about $50,000 of that is for food alone. It takes more to feed a soldier in a combat zone than many of us make in a year.

Homeland Security was set up after 9-11. How many billions has this cost us?

There are many other areas, I am not aware of, that are costing billions of dollars to fund, billions we no longer have.

Let me end this article on War in Afghanistan News with my "Conspiracy Theory."

There are large companies making billions off of this war. I believe these companies are lining the pockets of politicians, to include the President, with green backs, to keep these wars going to include Libya.

Bringing home 5,000 by the end of the year is not enough. Bringing home 10,000 by the summer of 2012 not enough.

We can hold our heads high. We did not fail. Our military did not fail. Our political leaders have failed by not realizing the mind set of the Afghani. They continue to fail by allowing our troops to spill blood for a country that is not worthy of our sacrifice.

It saddens me to the point of tears to see so many Americans losing their jobs, their homes and their way of life. Their government does nothing to help. But that same government spends trillions trying to help other countries.

For War in Afghanistan News let's pull back the financial support we give to all other countries, the United Nations, the World Bank and any country or organization we are giving money to.

Bring our troops home where ever they are. Let's get America healthy again and then we can look to try to take care of others again.

In the picture, to the right, is the Author, David Schulze, catching some zzzs at Camp Warhorse, Iraq. We had just spent a July day (temp of 120 degrees) unloading two 40 foot trailers of laundry detergent and softener. They were not on pallets so we had to unload the trucks by hand.

War in Afghanistan News Speaking of the World Bank on our War in Afghanistan News article:

Greece is going through financial upheaval. It has been a country of people who live off the government. That government has finally gone bust and needs loans to stay afloat. It told its people they were going to lose a lot of the social benefits and have to pay higher taxes. What did the people do? They went on a riot.

They want the United States and other countries to give them money, through the World Bank, to continue their own social programs. The United States does not have the money to give and will soon find itself in the same shape as Greece if it does not stop handing out money left and right.

More War in Afghanistan News:

NATO countries are saying they are running out of munitions from attacking Libya. Give me a break. A few air strikes and they are out of ammo. They just want the United States, who gives over 50% of the support to NATO, to replenish their munitions stock piles so they do not have to pay of it.

In the picture below are docs Andy (left) and ??(right ((I hate it that I cannot remember his name-especially since I ran into him in Kabul a few years later))) standing in front of a crop duster at Camp Warhorse in Baqubah, Iraq. Picture was taken in 2004. Our docs were great guys. There was even a few times when the Army called on them to come and help with their wounded.

War in Afghanistan News

Speaking of Libya--the US needs to back off. Do you ever wonder why the US, who is struggling financially, jumps in to help all these Middle East countries with their problems. Why? The Middle East has enough counties with enough money to take care of all of its own.

Our political pride is causing us to stay in this fight and support it. We need to back up and admit that we made a mistake, and walk away from this rebellion going on. Some say it is a revolution but I call it what it is: rebellion against the government.

All these countries are rebelling for the same problems we have here in the United States. But here we are trying to solve these things peacefully and not take up arms against our government. Even the Bible tells us to obey our leaders so that it may go well with us--something to this affect.

I encourage every American to speak out against this war and the slow draw down that is to take place. Let's get the majority of our troops out by Christmas and all of them to include Iraq by the summer of next year (2012).

Let's proclaim from the mountain tops until our political leaders can hear, understand and act: "BRING THEM HOME TODAY!!"
