The Democrats And Iraq

The Democrats and Iraq get a lot of publicity these days, especially with the presidential campaign full on. The media, of course, is in love with Barak Obama right now and he is edging ahead of Hillary Clinton. She used to be the media darling last year until Obama started doing well. Hillary, more than anyone else, has changed her mind and stand on the Iraq war.

All of the democratic candidates think they can bring our troops home as soon as they are elected. Actually they know they cannot but in order to get votes, they are telling the gullible public they will.

We are needed in Iraq for stability and will need to be a presence there for many years just as President Bush stated at the beginning of this war. No one likes to be in Iraq and Afghanistan but it is a necessity for stability.

No one likes to be in Japan, Korea, the Phillippines, Germany and other places overseas either, yet the media does not dwell on this. We are there for stability as well. No one makes a big deal about it. Whole families of our military personnel go to these places to live with our troops and it is costing millions but again, no one is bothered by this. The democrats just want to make a big deal out of Iraq and the war.
