Coffee Mug From Baqubah

My husband was at Camp Warhorse and brought me home a souvenir from Baqubah. A coffee mug that says "Happiness is Baqubah in my rearview mirror." You know, like the song "Happiness Is Lubbock Texas In My Rearview Mirror."

He got it at the camp PX. Brought home 3 of them for us. He had quite a time at Warhorse, what with all of the incoming they had while he was there. Baqubah was mentioned on the news almost everyday during his stay and I was a wreck the whole time he was there.

Each time I use one of the mugs, I think about him being in Iraq, fighting for the freedom of Iraqi citizens. Sometimes I think it is worth it and other times, I think Saddam should have been left to his own devices. The war is just too hard on families left behind. Too many lonely spouses and children growing up without a parent. Too many marriages growing apart. Too many lives lost. Too much money being spent by our government.

So you can see that I am glad he came home, alive and well, with a souvenir from Baqubah.
