If 5 years of war is not permanent, then what is it? I have had 5 years of my husband being over there and it feels pretty permanent to me. The troops are having permanent buildings to live and work in over there, not tents. We are spending billions of dollars over there and the Iraqis still cannot get themselves together to take care of their own country. Seems like they are idiots if they cannot take training from the greatest military on earth (the United States). We have been training them for years now on our military bases over there. If we can take 18 year olds here and train them in 6 weeks to be soldiers, why can't we take adult Iraqis and train them to be good soldiers in 5 years? What is wrong with them? McCain knows it is permanent. Why can't the rest of the politicians admit it. Iraq is too stupid to ever be able to take care of themselves.
