Iraq Updates

It is difficult to keep up with Iraq updates, especially if you are the one who is in the war zone. I will give you some good sites that will give you the latest news in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Some days, a few American casualties are reported. Other days, Iraqis are blowing each other up simultaneously in cities across Iraq.

A mosque here, an open-air market there....It continues to amaze me that the Iraqis keep killing each other instead of mobilizing their forces and aiming them at the terrorists, members of Al Qaeda who keep infiltrating their country.

The latest news in Iraq, because it is in a war zone, can change on a dime. I find myself checking periodically throughout the day as time allows to see what is going on.

Of course, if you are on a military base and you are getting fired on, you don't have to check with the news. You know what is going on, like when I was in Baqubah at Camp Warhorse. That year, our base was a good part of the news back home almost every day according to my wife. She was tuned to CNN day and night to see if I was be okay.

Iraq updates can be found on the morning and evening television and radio news at home in America but it is usually just a brief liberal synopsis of what is really going on. So Americans at home may want to look at the latest news stories on the internet as well.

A good up-to-the-minute news website for Iraq news is Iraq Net.

Still another site is MSNBC News.

One more helpful website is Yahoo News.

Remember to check these sources often throughout the day for the latest battles, the latest important visitors, the latest on the troop surge and withdrawal, terrorism and most importantly, on winning the battle.
