Defac At TQ

(Fort Hood)
I spent a good part of 2007 stationed at Camp Taqaddum. The defac at TQ is top notch, one of the finest I have experienced since I joined the Army. The food is fabulous and it is a good thing since there are no fast food joints on the base. The commander thinks (or at least this is how it was in 2007) that fast food makes the troops complacent.
He should know that fast food makes the troops feel better, normal, like they are at home in the midst of a warzone. They need a good escape, like a cheeseburger or a pizza.
The defac at TQ put out a wonderful selection of foods and the food is always well-prepared. On holidays, they really go all out to make us feel at home. Yum. I cannot say that I miss it, but it is the best defac in Iraq.
