Jobs in Iraq are very different from anything you have experience. In addition to insurgents trying to kill you, there is the scorching heat, the insects, close living quarters and constant changes to meet the needs of he client, there is the separation from family and friends.

But if you are willing to search and be patient then the rewards can be great. Looking back years from now you will be able to say, "I was there. The desert threw everything it could at me and I beat it."

Things today in 2010 are not as bad as they were in 2003. There have been many changes over the years as far as safety and living conditions go. Many things are better than they were in the beginning. Each person, whether contractor or military, has done what they could to make things better for the people coming behind them.

One of the best resources I know to go to to search for jobs in Iraq or any Country is Military Hire.

They have many companies who use them to get their job information out to the public.

Military Hire also has Job Scouts you can set up that will alert you each day when a job has been posted that matches your skills.

Be on the alert for scam artist offering to get you a job for money.

Be on the alert for resume companies offering to develop a resume that will get you a job.
