Balad Livestock

Balad livestock is well known in the area. Actually Balad is a city that sits outside of Anaconda. I have been through the city of Balad on numerous occasions.

When we had taken our 18 wheeler in a military convoy to pick up some supplies, the main route was blocked by an IED so we took a back road.

We could see over the fences into the yards. The yards were full of children. Lots of children.

There were also a lot of cattle, sheep, goats and camels. And you can guess it--it stank. It smelled like cattle country back in the states. Animal feces everywhere that does not get cleaned up. Right in the city limits, with people living like that.
